What do you folks make baby to eat thats yummy, healthy and easy? My baby is 9 months old
I make eggy bread. Bread soaked in a beaten egg then cooked in a skillet with butter.
* just in case * I got the go ahead on the ENTIRE egg from my pediatrician.Easy finger food recipes for baby?
Steamed or roasted veggies - I bake sweet potato brushed with a bit of olive oil in the oven, my daughter loves them. She also likes steamed squash, green beans, broccoli, peas, etc... Lentils and beans are really easy and a big hit as well.
Rice, pasta - once you introduce tomato, you can do a simple sauce and toss in pasta, I usually heat it in a fry pan and the pasta soaks up the sauce and it gets rid of the extra liquid
Soft ripe fruits - Bananas (of course), peaches, blueberries (cut in half), canned pears.
Crackers (unsalted), rice cakes, toast, etc...
Soft tender pieces of chicken or other meat - I usually used a roast chicken or I pan fry a chicken breast or thigh and shred into small pieces.
There are really a lot of things. I try to give or modify whatever I am having as much as possible.
Best of luck!Easy finger food recipes for baby?
I'm glad I saw this question, because I had food for my daughter in the oven that I'd forgotten about!
Mostly I give her baked fruits and veggies. I slice them into little sticks that she can eat them easily, and bake until soft. Then I freeze them on a cookie sheet and pop them in a freezer bag so I can pull out a few at a time.
I also give her a little of whatever I'm eating - bananas, green beans, peas, etc. She hasn't had meat or wheat prody=ucts yet, so I stick w/ fruits and veggies for now!
steamed, soft veggies, quartered grilled cheese sandwhich, scrambled egg, cut-up hotdogs, applesauce, sliced bananas, oatmeal, cold cereal, biter bisquits, waffles, pancakes...just to name a few...these are the things that my baby liked.
